Allied Benefit Systems manages the City of Oxford health and medical insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance. Use the Allied website to download health and medical ID card images and view deductibles and claims.

The City of Oxford’s health plan is the Aetna Signature Administrators.

Non Insurance Providers:

Hoke Direct Primary Care

This primary care provider does not accept insurance. Instead, it has a monthly fee which you can choose to pay out of pocket. You will need to have your other insurance to cover severe illness or emergencies.

Life Insurance

The City provides you with life insurance at 1X your annual salary for regular employees and 1.5X for Fire and Police employees. You may add supplemental coverage for you, your spouse and dependents if desired.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Managed by Health Equity. An FSA allows employees to set aside a certain amount of pre-tax money to help pay for medical, dental, and vision out-of-pocket expenses. Employees can contribute up to $3,200 to the FSA to pay for qualified medical, dental, and vision expenses. You will receive a credit card to pay copays and services directly to providers. These funds need to be used from January 1, 2024, to March 15, 2025.​​

  • Dependent Care FSA: all benefit eligible employee can contribute up to $5,000 ($22,500 if married filing separately).

Health Savings Account (HSA)

Managed by Health Equity. Employees participating in the HDHP Medical Plan can establish an HSA to help pay for qualified medical expenses on a TAX FREE basis. Employees can contribute to the account via pre-tax payroll deduction.

  • You can contribute as little or as much as you would like as long as you stay within IRA Annual Contribution Maximums of:

    • EE enrollment only: $4,150​

    • All other tiers: $8,300

    • Over age 55: extra $1,000

  • The City of Oxford will match up to $250 for EE enrollment and $500 for all other tiers.
